The Bio-Spheres/Bio-Blocks excel at establishing bacterial colonies in forms of Bio-Nano Composite Films, it allows different species of bacteria and fungi to grow on its large surface area, such as nitrifying acteria (including species of the genera Nitrosomonas, Nitrosococcus, Nitrobacter and Nitrococcus), yeast, phototrophic prokaryotes, etc.

  • Designed specifically for freshwater aquariums only (not suitable for marine aquariums);
  • Widely used in freshwater aquariums in China and SE Asia for over a decade;
  • Each variant provides different benefits and features for different types of freshwater aquariums;
  • Nano-Tech Bio-Spheres are made with inert ceramic material, with added ingredients to provide different characteristics;
  • All Nano-Tech Bio-Spheres are fired in oven for over 6 hours, resulting in a very strong and stable bio media that last for years.

Time-tested technology

Adopted from the sewage treatment industry, the Nano-Tech Bio-Media uses a proprietary technology to form the inert ceramic beads into a manageable shape (spheres, blocks, plugs) for household aquariums

  • The Bio-Spheres excel at establishing bacterial colonies in forms of Bio-Nano Composite Films, it allows different species of bacteria and fungi to grow on its large surface area, such as nitrifying acteria (including species of the genera Nitrosomonas, Nitrosococcus, Nitrobacter and Nitrococcus), yeast, phototrophic prokaryotes, etc.

  • The Bio-Spheres are carefully manufactured to ensure its quality, the well-designed porous structure of the Bio-Spheres create the ideal living conditions and environment for bacterial colonies, but will not be decomposed by the bacterial colonies that grows within it.

  • With an ultra-high surface cross-cutting ratio and filtration area, each Bio-Sphere has up to 54m² surface area (580ft²) for the establishment of bacterial colonies, which allows it to effectively control the quality and stability of the water column.

Small size, high efficiency

The Bio-Spheres should be cleaned or replaced every 6 months for optimal results, however when cleaning/replacing old Bio-Spheres, DO NOT replace all of them at the same time. Clean/replace half of the Bio-Spheres such that there are sufficient bacterial colonies remain to reestablish themselves in the newly cleaned/replaced Bio-Spheres.

Putting all Nano-Tech Bio-Sphere in mesh bag make it easy to maintenance and save huge place for other equipments.

Can be used directly in main tank, or in sump, different types of filters including canister filters,hang-on-back filters, etc.

Circulation technology broadens the wave-making area, maximizing water flow coverage to minimize blind spots within the aquarium. This ensures the actual whole-tank circulation, allowing the aquarium's living lives to experience a simulated natural water flow.

Dump Buckets were used for public aquariums to aerate surface water and create a "wave-like" water flow. However it also is a nightmare to maintain, salt creep will form all around the equipment.

Now you can replace your Dump Bucket system with Gyre Pro XFP1400, which can also aerate surface water and create natural wave like water flow, without the hassle of using Dump Buckets.

Adequate water flow is crucial to growth and healthiness of corals and fishes

Water current brings in oxygen-rich water along with nutrients and planktons to corals and fishes, as well as removing waste and organic matter produced by them.

Specifications

For lens and reflector cup selection:

  • Narrower angles result in higher central beam intensity, a smaller focal point, and better light efficiency. Conversely, wider angles correspond to reduced light energy efficiency, though they result in a larger illuminated area.
  • For longer and more distant illumination, a narrower angle is preferable. In other words, as the installation distance above the waer surface increases, opting for a narrower angle is recommended.
  • At the same installation height, choosing a narrower angle will result in a correspondingly reduced illumination range.
